At Somaya Retreats, we recognize the importance of self-reflection as a means of personal growth and transformation. As such, we offer journaling as one of our core retreat activities to help our guests deepen their self-understanding, increase self-awareness, and explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences through writing.

Our experienced facilitators will guide participants through prompts and exercises that allow them to engage with the subconscious mind, safely unpack any suppressed emotions, and tap into their intuition. Before and after Ayahuasca ceremonies, participants can fully allow their inner vision to flow onto their journal pages, engaging with different aspects of their experience, and committing them to paper.

Through this reflective process, participants can better understand themselves, heal past wounds, and identify patterns and behaviors that may need to be shifted for personal growth. Journaling has long been known to help individuals to celebrate their innate creativity, unlocking divergent-thinking neural processes and accessing novel solutions to problems and questions that were previously unknown.
