Tradition & Reciprocity
The foundation of this work comes from the ancient Cambodian ascetic tradition of Eisey. This lineage is devoted to alignment of body and consciousness.
Its core understanding is simple: when the body is disordered, awareness cannot stabilize. When the body is trained and strengthened, consciousness becomes clearer and more anchored.
Through disciplined practice and ceremonial structure, the scattered parts of the self begin to organize. The body becomes a place that can safely hold insight. Transformation becomes grounded rather than destabilizing.
Our team includes Khmer practitioners, indigenous Cambodian wisdom keepers, and Western initiates who have spent decades immersed in this path. The lineage is maintained through active relationship with teachers in Cambodia and direct support for a traditional teaching center at its source.
Every retreat is built upon the traditional ceremony of Bon, merit-making as living practice.
In this framework, your healing does not exist in isolation. What shifts within you ripples outward. Bon recognizes that personal healing strengthens ancestral lines, individual clarity supports collective well-being, and transformation gains stability when rooted in reciprocity.
For many participants, this brings unexpected relief. The sense of carrying something alone begins to soften. There is a felt understanding that healing can move both backward and forward in time honoring those who came before and strengthening those who will follow.
A portion of proceeds directly supports aligned teachers in Cambodia, indigenous wisdom preservation initiatives, and traditional teaching centers.
Growth here strengthens continuity there. Bon is the living current of reciprocity. Somaya is the structure that allows it to move with integrity.
